A practical approach to difficult technical work.

The recurring theme in my career is becoming the person involved in difficult technical issues: working through the detail, coordinating information and helping teams deliver consistently in Revit.

I helped establish Revit delivery at Cunniff Design from the practice’s inception. At Box Architects, I combined project leadership with line management and improvements to the ISO 9001 drawing review process. I am now part of the management team developing Torsion Care’s in-house design department.

My work brings design coordination together with delivery planning, technical standards and staff development. I prefer clear responsibility and buildable solutions, identifying information gaps and resolving problems before they reach site.

Alongside my employed roles, I have worked directly with homeowners since 2002, developing extensions and new homes through planning, Building Regulations and practical construction support.

I see drawings and design information as one of the core products of an architectural service. They should not only be technically accurate and coordinated, but also consistent, visually clear and easy for clients, consultants and contractors to understand and use.

Well-structured information reduces ambiguity, improves coordination and makes projects easier to deliver. I have applied that principle throughout my career when developing Revit standards, project workflows, QA procedures and technical information.
